Total Havoc in condo at Wichit Subdistrict Mueang District

Wichit Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phuket

A woman shared a cautionary story about renting out her condominium in Phuket to a Ukrainian tourist who overstayed their contract by several days before finally moving out. The tenant left a message saying they had abandoned the key in a trash bin. Upon inspection, the room was found in complete disarray.

On April 30, 2025, a reporter noted that the case had gone viral on social media after a Facebook user posted photos and a caption showing a condominium unit in Wichit Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phuket Province. The room was cluttered, with English text and Pikachu drawings scribbled on walls and ceilings. The post read: “A warning about rental properties: I bought this unit to rent out for one year. The agent sent me these photos—left speechless.”

Later, Ms. Varinrat Dumlak, 39, visited Lt. Col. Wacharakorn Suwan, Deputy Investigator at Wichit Police Station, to report the incident. She manages unit 102/117 at the condo, rented to Ms. Anastasia Fidanian, a Ukrainian national, under a one-year contract from April 15, 2024, to April 15, 2025. After the contract expired, the tenant refused to vacate. A handover was scheduled for 4:00 PM, but at around 3:00 PM, the tenant texted to say she had left the key in a trash bin. Ms. Dumlak then inspected the unit with friends and security staff.

Locksmiths were called to open the door, revealing severe damage: walls vandalized with graffiti, slashed mattresses, and destroyed electrical appliances. Initial estimates placed losses at approximately 350,000 THB.

Reports indicate the condo owner plans to file a police complaint at Wichit Police Station to pursue legal action against the tenant.
